Senator Blumenthal's office is proud to offer assistance to constituents struggling with their health care related hardships. However, it is important to understand that Senator Blumenthal's office is a government office and cannot make medical decisions such as providing prescriptions or overriding a doctor’s decision and in some cases Senator Blumenthal's office may require a letter from your treating doctor before we can pursue your request for health care assistance. However, Senator Blumenthal's office is happy to assist with health insurance difficulties including denials, quality of care issues, assistance with exorbitant medical bills, and drug shortage situations.

Please understand that Senator Blumenthal cannot enroll you onto a health insurance program. Senator Blumenthal encourage you to visit http://www.healthcare.gov, an easy-to-use resource to help you find a suitable and affordable health insurance option. The healthcare.gov website also contains valuable information on the Affordable Health Care Act and various resources pertaining to making health care more affordable and accessible for you.

If you are not able to resolve your issue, please fill out the online form and privacy release below. Please print, sign and send the privacy release to Senator Blumenthal's Hartford office. Once it is received, a member of Senator Blumenthal's Constituent Services team will contact you to discuss how Senator Blumenthal's office can best help you resolve your issue. Please allow up to two weeks from the time we receive your privacy release for Senator Blumenthal's office to contact you.
