Listed below are the Energy and Water Development projects Senator Blumenthal has submitted to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The Senate Appropriations Committee selects the final projects from the projects submitted by all senators. Therefore, neither submission of an application nor Senator Blumenthal’s approved list of projects are guaranteed for final funding.

City of Bridgeport – Bridgeport, CT

  • Amount Requested: $200,000
  • This project will provide funding to reconfigure the city center’s microgrid to incorporate the police station.

  • Amount Requested: $225,000
  • This project will provide funding to showcase the technology of battery storage combined with rooftop solar in order to encourage adoption.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—Hartford and East Hartford, CT

  • Amount Requested: $684,000
  • This project will provide funding for the Hartford/East Hartford Levee Rehabilitation Section 216 Feasibility Study.
