Statement From Senator Blumenthal On Senate Filibuster Reform

(Washington, DC) – Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement today after casting a series of votes in favor of reforming the current filibuster system:

“The votes we cast today mark a significant step toward making the Senate function more transparently and effectively. When we allow for bipartisan debate and conversation, and remove the ability of individuals secretly to stonewall a particular piece of legislation, we take great strides toward delivering results for the American people.
