Senator Blumenthal Statement on Memorial Day

(Hartford, CT) – Senator Richard Blumenthal released the following statement today to mark the celebration of Memorial Day and to remember those soldiers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

"Today we commemorate and thank the courageous fallen warriors who have kept us free - but also their families and loved ones whose lives were changed forever by their sacrifice. Our hearts and prayers go in equal measure to the brave military men and women now serving and fighting around the globe. We remain the greatest nation in the world because of our men and women in uniform, our veterans, and the heroes who have perished to defend us."
