Senator Blumenthal Praises DOD Directive to Halt Production of JSF Alternate Engine

(Hartford, CT) – Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement today after the Department of Defense issued a stop work order to GE that they cease production of the Joint Strike Fighter alternate engine, eliminating a program that the DOD has long fought to cut:

“I commend the Defense Department for their directive to ensure that we can eliminate wasteful spending as soon as possible, while providing our troops with the very best resources available to stay safe and complete their missions.”
