Blumenthal To LaHood: Send Florida's Fast-Train Money Here

"U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal met with U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood Wednesday to make a pitch for getting some of the $2.4 billion in federal high-speed rail money that Florida's governor spurned.

A delegation of senators from New Jersey and Delaware joined Blumenthal in pressing LaHood to redirect the rail funding to upgrade Amtrak's heavily used Northeast Corridor."
