Blumenthal to Hold Hearing on Extreme Risk Protection Orders / "Red Flag" Laws
[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, will convene a hearing on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 2:30 PM titled “Stop Gun Violence: Extreme Risk Order / “Red Flag” Laws.”
“This first hearing in our series is focusing on laws that have bipartisan support in the American public, bipartisan support in state legislatures, and even bipartisan support in Congress,” Blumenthal said. “Extreme Risk Protection Orders, also known as ‘red flag’ laws, save lives – period.”
