In the upcoming Congress, Blumenthal will continue serving on Veterans Affairs, Judiciary, Armed Services, Commerce, Science & Transportation, and Aging Committees
(Hartford, CT)—Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) released the following statement announcing his Senate committee assignments for the upcoming Congress. Blumenthal will continue to serve on the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, Committee on the Judiciary, Committee on Armed Services, Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, and the Special Committee on Aging.
“There is a great deal of hard work to be done in the next Congress – and it starts the day I return to Washington. I will be giving the President-elect’s cabinet nominees serious and exacting scrutiny during their confirmation hearings. I will defend the gains we’ve made over the last eight years, but I will also push forward for greater investments in infrastructure and our national security, better protections for consumers, and a social safety net that doesn’t let anyone fall through the cracks. And above all, I will be fighting to represent the values and priories of the people of Connecticut.”
