Blumenthal Statement on UAE-Israel Agreement

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement in response to the normalization of relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel:

“Normalizing UAE relations is a significant milestone and achievement for Israel. This historic breakthrough is a positive and welcome development for the entire region. Our unbreakable bond with this vital ally must continue with strong bipartisan support. Our goal should remain a peaceful, two-state solution negotiated directly between the Israelis and Palestinians.”
