Blumenthal Statement on the Inauguration of Donald Trump
[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement after attending the Inauguration of Donald Trump, who was sworn in today as the 45th President of the United States. Tomorrow, Blumenthal will also attend the Women’s March on Washington.
“The peaceful transition of power today is the hallmark of our democracy. This bedrock principle is greater than any single person who holds the office of President. A dedication to such core Constitutional principles commits me to continue to fight for what is right and necessary in the days ahead,” Blumenthal said.
