Blumenthal Statement on the Death of Former Israeli Prime Minister & President Shimon Peres

[WASHINGTON, DC] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement this morning following the death of former Israeli Prime Minister and President Shimon Peres:

“In an increasingly dangerous world, Shimon Peres was a champion for peace. He dedicated his life in service to his country – holding positions in Israel’s highest ranks for decades – and showed a commitment to public service and devotion to his country that will endure as an example to us all. His death is a tremendous loss to not only the people of Israel, but for the entire international community.”
