Blumenthal Statement On Tentative Labor Agreement Reached By L+M, AFT Union

(Hartford, CT) Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) issued the following statement in response to a tentative labor agreement reached by Lawrence + Memorial Hospital and members of the AFT union:

 “I commend the Hospital and the workers’ union for working together to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement – a victory for common sense and community.  I'm pleased this agreement will enable a longer-term path to fair, positive professional relationships.  The ultimate beneficiaries will be the patients and people in Connecticut who will receive world class medical care from dedicated, skilled professionals and cutting-edge facilities.”
