[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement today after the Supreme Court issued a ruling allowing the Trump Administration’s executive order banning travelers from eight countries – including six Muslim-majority countries – to go into effect.
“I am disappointed by the Supreme Court’s decision to allow the Trump Administration’s Muslim travel ban go into effect for now. When the Court actually reaches and rules on the merits, I hope it will conclude that that this latest version is in effect the same unwise, unconstitutional, and un-American Muslim ban that the courts rejected previously,” Blumenthal said.
