Blumenthal Statement on Supreme Court Hearing Arguments in GOP Health Care Lawsuit Case

[WASHINGTON, DC] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) issued the following statement in response to the Supreme Court’s announcement that they will hear oral arguments in a Republican lawsuit against the Affordable Care and Patient Protection Act this fall.

“This lawsuit is yet another jolting reminder of the Republicans’ relentless campaign to destroy the Affordable Care Act. By pursuing this senseless lawsuit, the President Trump led-GOP reveal their true priorities - hell-bent on a political win, even if it means ripping away health care protections and coverage from millions of vulnerable Americans. This landmark law enabled millions of Americans - including many with preexisting conditions - to access health care.
