Blumenthal Statement on Shooting at Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood

(Hartford, CT) – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) issued the following statement on the shooting today at a Planned Parenthood health center in Colorado Springs, Colorado:

“Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims harmed by this senseless, hideous violence. ‎Key facts are still unknown, but we can be deeply thankful for the courage, strength and swift action of the police, as well as the bravery and resolve of Planned Parenthood employees, who are resolute in the face of this horrific tragedy. The dedicated professionals of Planned Parenthood have braved threats and intimidation for years, delivering quality health care to millions of Americans, and undoubtedly they will continue to do so.”
