Blumenthal Statement on Resignation of Comptroller Kevin Lembo

(HARTFORD, CT) – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) issued the following statement on the resignation of State Comptroller Kevin Lembo:

“Kevin Lembo has served the state he loves with extraordinary distinction and dedication – a deeply compassionate trailblazer, and courageous leader. He has always put the interests of the people of Connecticut above all else, fighting for fiscal accountability and transparency and lowering healthcare costs for all. The Office of State Comptroller is a tough job, but he led by his example of insight and integrity with a steady, caring hand. I am proud to call him a friend and wish him well as he continues to fight for the ideals and values that we share.”
