Blumenthal Statement on Release of LIHEAP Funds for Connecticut

(Hartford, CT) – Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement today following an announcement that the Department of Health and Human Services has released over $845 million dollars to help low income households with energy costs this winter, including over $22 million dollars for Connecticut:

I am encouraged by the release of these critical funds and am confident that HHS will continue to see to the swift distribution of these grants that are vital to keeping our most vulnerable citizens warm and healthy.”
