Blumenthal Statement On Proposed Bipartisan Blueprint For Comprehensive Immigration Reform

(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) released the following statement on the proposed bipartisan blueprint for comprehensive immigration reform:  

I applaud and strongly support the bipartisan blueprint for comprehensive immigration reform proposed today. I have consulted with Senators Schumer, McCain and other members of the working group that developed this proposal, and, as a member of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, I look forward to being a leader in advancing this reform agenda. Reform will require compromise, but I will seek to improve and enhance this blueprint. I am committed to providing a path to citizenship for immigrants who qualify for it, and to fixing our broken immigration system in an enduring way.
