Blumenthal Statement on Obama Administration’s Clean Power Plan

(Hartford, CT) – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) issued the following statement on the Obama Administration’s final version of America’s Clean Power Plan:

“This new Clean Power Plan is a bold, significant step toward battling carbon emissions and climate disruption – recognizing and encouraging states like Connecticut that have led the nation in advancing the next generation of robust clean environment technology. This plan assures that energy efficiency and renewable energy efforts will be supported and enhanced, despite Congressional gridlock.  As Connecticut has shown, clean energy investment improves public health and environment – and drives job creation and economic growth.”
