Blumenthal Statement on New Direct Flight from Bradley to Los Angeles

(Hartford, CT) – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) released the following statement today regarding the announcement of a new direct flight between Bradley International Airport and Los Angeles:

“This new direct flight from Bradley to Los Angeles will be a major boon to Connecticut—boosting tourism and providing our businesses and residents with expanded, convenient cross-country transportation options. This news, following the announcement of the direct flight to Ireland and the possibility of a direct flight to Jamaica, is a testament to the growing strength of Connecticut’s economy.  Having just met with leaders across our state’s tourism industry, I look forward to continuing to support Bradley and the important role that tourism plays in growing jobs and supporting our local economy."
