Blumenthal Statement on Emergency COVID-19 Relief & Omnibus Deal

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement after an agreement was reached on emergency COVID-19 relief and omnibus spending package:

“This rescue package will provide an immediate life raft for struggling families and small businesses while investing in vaccine distribution, transportation funding, and other immediate needs, like unemployment insurance. It is a bridge to a more robust program – a down payment. It is far less and much later than it should be, but it will help combat the pandemic and save lives and livelihoods. As soon as we pass this measure, I will begin working and fighting for a more resources and relief for Connecticut families, businesses, and communities.”
