Blumenthal Statement on Disclosure of Fusion GPS Testimony

[WASHINGTON, DC] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) released the following statement after U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) released the transcript of Glenn Simpson’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee with the support of Committee Democrats. Simpson is the co-founder of Fusion GPS.

“Releasing this interview advances the American people’s right and need to know the full truth. I applaud Senator Feinstein’s leadership in using her proper authority as Ranking Member to serve this public interest. Disclosing the transcript will prevent its use as a dangerous distraction from the critical work our Committee should be focusing on. Now more truth must be told about the Russian attack on our democracy and Trump campaign support of it.”
