(Hartford, CT) – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on today’s terror attacks in Brussels, Belgium:
“My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and the people of Belgium after the horrific terrorist attacks in Brussels. We must continue to strengthen our cooperation with longstanding allies like Belgium, as well as others in Europe and around the world, to more effectively detect and combat terrorism. As those who perpetrate these attacks attempt to stoke fear and hatred at home and abroad, bolstering coordination and intelligence sharing with allies remains an essential element in our effort to prevent future terrorism."
