Blumenthal Statement on CVS Health Layoffs

[HARTFORD, CT] – Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) today released the following statement on the planned layoffs at CVS Health.

“These significant nationwide layoffs are deeply alarming,” Blumenthal said. “The company made a commitment to the city of Hartford when they purchased Aetna and they should maintain that commitment.  I have been in contact with CVS and we don’t yet know what the impact will be on Connecticut workers, but any layoffs could threaten their livelihoods and well-being. My office stands ready to do whatever we can to limit layoffs in Hartford and help those who might be affected by this disappointing decision.”
