[WASHINGTON, DC] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) issued the following statement in response to an executive order signed by President Donald Trump today that would disrupt Affordable Care Act insurance markets through establishment of loosely regulated association health plans.
“The Trump Administration showed today that it will stop at nothing to sabotage the Affordable Care Act. This latest scheme is yet another flawed façade that promises more coverage while delivering far less. If the Administration is intent on improving health care, they owe the American people a concerted effort to repair our current system, instead of weakening it through continued disruption of the insurance marketplace.”
