Blumenthal Applauds Presidential Disaster Declaration Following Hurricane Ida

[Hartford, CT] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) applaud the President Joe Biden’s announcement today approving a Major Disaster Declaration for Connecticut for damages sustained after the remanants of Hurricane Ida caused severe flooding across the state.

“The disaster declaration – supported by the Connecticut Congressional delegation - will provide critically needed assistance to families and businesses that were significantly impacted by the flooding from the remnants of Hurricane Ida,” said Blumenthal. “I applaud President Biden’s rapid response to provide help to the people of Connecticut.
