Blumenthal Announces Support for Medicare-for-All

[WASHINGTON, DC] – Today U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) announced his support of legislation authored by U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) that would allow all Americans to purchase health insurance through Medicare. Blumenthal first announced his support for the proposal on Twitter.

“Access to affordable healthcare should be a clear right, not an exorbitant luxury. No one should endure sleepless nights terrified by a lack of healthcare because of how much they make or where they live,” Blumenthal said. “That's why I’m proud to join my colleagues in the Senate and Americans around the country supporting a system to give every family access to the security and stability of Medicare.”
