Blumenthal Travels to Munich Security Conference

[WASHINGTON, D.C.] – U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, will join a bipartisan bicameral delegation led by U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) to attend the Munich Security Conference (MSC). The MSC, largely considered to be the Atlantic’s leading forum for international security policy, operates as a setting for diplomatic initiatives to cooperatively address the world’s most pressing security concerns.

“At this precarious, critical moment for our nation’s security—and Europe’s—I look forward to speaking directly and frankly with top leaders of our allies about the path to victory in Ukraine,” Blumenthal said. “I anticipate conversations about continuing our common commitment to Ukraine’s brave fight against Putin’s bloody assault—vital to our own national interest. We must redouble that commitment, so that any negotiations are from a position of strength for Ukraine, and its allies.”
