Blumenthal Statement On Senate Judiciary Committee Vote To Approve The Nomination Of Nina Pillard To D.C. Circuit

(Washington, DC) – Today, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) issued the following statement after the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve the nomination of Nina Pillard to the D.C. Circuit by a vote of 10-8: 

“Throughout her 26-year legal career, Nina Pillard has demonstrated professional excellence and devotion to the public interest, and that is why I voted to support her nomination and why I will fight for her to be approved by the Senate. The D.C. Circuit addresses many of the most important and complicated legal questions facing our country, and its judgeships should be filled with extraordinary legal minds.
